NaTisha "Tish" Hutson is a Bay Area, CA native with over 7 years of experience in education. A common thread of her experience is equity, inclusion and social justice. Her start in education was working for Argosy University as the Assistant Director of Admissions in Dallas, TX. After leaving the for-profit university sector, NaTisha began a career in Restorative Justice within the k-12 system throughout the Bay Area. The focus of that work was to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline that disproportionately funnels Black and Brown students into the juvenile incarceration system, and help build more equitable and inclusive school communities. From there, she served community college students as the Program Coordinator for Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS) at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, CA. During this time she was heavily involved with, and championed, campus-wide equity efforts by serving on the Umoja Steering Committee, DREAMers Alliance, and Co-chairing the Black Employees Network, among other campus involvement.
During her own educational journey in California, NaTisha attended public school for k-12, community college (Diablo Valley College) and transferred to the CSU system. She currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from California State University Sacramento and a Master's degree in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
